Addressing a press conference organised at the Police Headquarters Monday, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Rajendra Singh Bhandari said, we have found involvement of Bangladeshi nationals who entered Nepal illegally through India in the illegal VOIP business. Police also made public three Bangladeshi nationals arrested on charge of operating illegal VOIP at the press meet. Mozam Mohammad, Mohammad Salehh Ahmed and Mohammad Sorabuhaman were arrested by a team of Nepal Police's Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) earlier this week during a raid at suspicious places. Bureau chief DIG Bhandari claimed, the kingpin of the racket bringing the Bangladeshi nationals to Nepal and operating the illegal VOIP calls had already been identified and that he was being searched with the help of Interpol. Asked whether Sujata Koirala's son-in-law Rubel Chaudhary was involved in the racket, DIG Bhandari said, no evidence had been found so far to suspect Chaudhary's involvement. At the press meet, police also showed 513 SIM cards of Nepal Telecom, 2528 SIM cards of NCell and recharge cards worth Rs 1,20,000. nepalnews.com This entry passed through the Full-Text RSS service — if this is your content and you're reading it on someone else's site, please read our FAQ page at fivefilters.org/content-only/faq.php |
